How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity has opened up within our clients a long-standing and highly skilled technical publications team. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team who are responsible for producing and updating high-quality technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings for global customers.
    What You’ll Be Doing:
    * Creating and updating technical publications, build plans, and test procedures used by manufacturing and customer teams
    * Interpreting and referencing engineering drawings, CAD models, production standards, and support analysis records
    * Collaborating with engineering, design, and production departments to resolve technical queries
    * Reviewing and proofreading documents to meet internal quality and compliance requirements
    * Participating in hands-on validation using tooling, equipment, and engineering processes
    What You’ll Bring:
    * Strong experience producing technical publications within engineering/manufacturing
    * Excellent understanding of industry standards and technical communication methods
    * Practical exposure to mechanical engineering concepts and simplified technical English
    * Able to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team
    * Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and consistency
    * Relevant qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds in Technical Communication & Authoring or similar) are beneficial, but not required,
