The Home Care Assistant will be responsible for:

Attending Clients homes to provide all aspects of care and support working in a warm, professional, kind and caring manner.
*
Actively perform the core tasks of providing personal care and intimate personal care and providing support and assistance within the Clients own home.
*
Demonstrating good communication skills including the confidence to communicate with relatives, your colleagues and other professionals both verbally and written to record information.
*
Assisting clients with all aspects of personal care, including: showering and baths and going to the toilet.
*
Meal preparation
*
Companionship on social activities and outings
*
Light house work duties including laundry and ironing.
*
Ensuring that the care tasks detailed on the support plan are performed and report any concerns to Managers / Supervisors.
The Home Care Assistant will have:

Ability to demonstrate a warm and friendly, compassionate approach with empathy, understanding and working in a safe manner.
*
Good clear communication skills and the ability to update confidential and important information.
*
Ability to build rapport with Clients and their wider relatives, your colleagues and other professionals.
*
Ability to provide support and care across personal and intimate care needs in a sensitive manner whilst ensuring dignity and respect are maintained at all times.
*
Ability to work in a confidential manner sometimes dealing with sensitive information, always protecting and respecting personal information
*
Clear and effective decision-making skills ensuring the Clients safety and needs are paramount.

Accuracy and honesty reporting any concerns in line with company policy to your Line Manager.

Applicants must have or obtain an enhanced Adult and Child DBS certificate.

Hours of Work:
We offer shifts on a rotating 2-week cycle, all applicants must be flexible to work alternate weekends OR 1 day every weekend. Shift options are:
Mornings & Lunch 07.00 – 14.00
Teas & Evenings 16.00 – 22.00
Full Days 07.00 - 14.00 and 16.00 - 22.00

£12.40 - £18.60 per hour
