How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The role of Building Host in the property sector involves supporting the efficient running of facilities, front-of-house and space in a shared meeting and by ensuring smooth operations and providing exceptional on-site service. This permanent position, working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, is based in the Bolton area and offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits.

    Description

    The Building Host will:

    Act as the first point of contact for building tenants and visitors, providing professional assistance and support.
    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the building reception, ensuring all facilities are maintained to a high standard.
    Be actively involved with the marketing team organising business events and activities.
    Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
    Manage tenant requests and ensure their needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.
    Assist with the implementation of health and safety procedures within the building.
    Support the Facilities Management team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
    Maintain accurate records and documentation related to building operations and tenant interactions.Profile

    A successful Building Host should have:

    Previous experience in building or office management.
    Excellent customer service skills and client management experience.
    Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
    A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues effectively.
    Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to building management.
    Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
    The ability commute to Bolton on a daily basis.
    Some flexibility to work outside normal working hours to cater for business events.Job Offer
