A well-established and design-led construction consultancy is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Brighton office. The appointed Assistant Quantity Surveyor will assist in delivering projects from inception through to completion, supporting senior team members and engaging with clients. The Role
* Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and feasibility studies as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
* Supporting procurement processes, tendering and contractor engagement
* Assisting with contract administration duties (primarily JCT)
* Monitoring project costs, variations and financial reporting
* Supporting valuations and final accounts as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
* Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams
* Working closely with senior surveyors to ensure successful project delivery
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor?
* Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
* Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or relevant placement experience
* Basic understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes
* Keen to work towards MRICS chartership
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Driven and career-focused Assistant Quantity Surveyor
