How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role – Chartered Landscape Architect

    Location – Devon

    Salary - £DOE

    Our client, a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit a Chartered Landscape Architect in Devon. The studio has a strong reputation across the UK, combining landscape architecture, ecology, masterplanning and environmental services. The local office offers the feel of a close-knit team, while still being part of a much larger and well-resourced business with a diverse project portfolio.

    The team works across a wide range of projects, including large scale residential developments, mixed use schemes, and environmentally sensitive sites. There is also exposure to projects involving green infrastructure, regeneration and strategic land promotion, often working closely with in house ecology and environmental teams to deliver well rounded solutions.

    THE ROLE

    The successful candidate will take a key role in delivering a mix of projects across the planning and design spectrum. Work is likely to include residential, mixed use and environmentally sensitive schemes.

    CHARTERED LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

    * Leading landscape design and assessment work across all stages

    * Producing and reviewing LVIA reports

    * Supporting planning applications and working alongside internal disciplines

    * Managing client relationships and contributing to project delivery

    * Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate

    ABOUT YOU

    * A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute or on the P2C

    * Experience working on UK based landscape projects

    * Strong background in LVIA and or landscape design

    * Comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary environment

    * Clear and confident communication skills
