How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

    £50K-£52K + Pension + OT

    Dys and nights

    Based in Wrexham

    The Company:

    A multi-site fmcg manufacture have invested heavily in a new production plant in Wrexham and are currently recruiting a new team of maintenance engineers to get the site up and running as production ramps up.

    This site is going through radical change with new engineers, new machinery getting installed and this is the perfect time for a multi-skilled maintenance to help them on their journey

    The Role:

    The multi-skilled maintenance engineer will support production operations by maintaining a wide range of electro-mechanical machinery and ancillary equipment.

    The role will involve electrical and mechanical fault finding, responding to emergency breakdowns
    Proactive maintenance to help reduce breakdowns
    Looking into the root cause of failures and putting long term fixes in place
    Required Experience:

    The multi-skilled maintenance engineer will be qualified to NVQ level 3 in electrical or mechanical
    You must have experience working in an automated factory environment
    Any exposure to proactive maintenance or reliability engineering is highly desirable
