Duties include:
* Understanding daily customers orders tickets and working out ways to package the products in the most effect way on pallets to reduce transport costs.
* Picking the products with the use of a FLT for the coils of pipe
* Picking any small fitting needed
* Using a pallet shrink wrapping machine
* Once orders are complete, loading onto wagons for dispatch
* Unloading wagons with FLT with any incoming materials and putting them away safety
* Keeping warehouse area’s clean and safe
* Daily stock checks of pipe and fitting
* Replenishing Stock levels
* During the day there will be times when you will be able to use our plastic welding machine to weld pipe together and add shoe ends to them.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in packing or warehouse environments is essential.
* Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
* Must be multi skilled in terms of been able to spin several plates at a time
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and time keeping.
* Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
* This is a physical role, so you need to me physically fit.
* Hold a Fort Lift Truck license
* Adhere to Health & Safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
* Having a minimum of 4 GCSE’s including English and Maths.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:00am- 17:00pm.
Pay is £12.71 an hour. Temporary - permanent contract for the right person.
