How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Birmingham
    Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 DOE
    Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
    Working Pattern: 3 days on site, 2 days working from home

    About the Role

    Not every home needs fixing.

    Some are already built well, they just need the right leader to take them to the next level.

    We are supporting a family run provider in Birmingham with an established children’s home that has built a culture that genuinely feels like a home from home. With strong foundations already in place, they are now looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the next phase of growth and expansion.

    This is a role for someone who can build on what is already working, strengthen the team, and support the service as it grows.

    The role

    • Lead and develop a stable, high performing team

    • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations

    What you need

    • Experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
    • Strong knowledge of Ofsted and safeguarding
    • Experience working with EBD
    • Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
    • Ability to lead teams and support growth
