How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: 7.5 Tonne Driver (ADR Qualified)

    Location: Swindon
    Salary: £13.46ph - £15.38ph + Benefits
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

    Overview

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver with ADR certification to join a well-established chemical distribution business. This is a permanent opportunity offering stability, structured routes, and the chance to work within a safety-critical, regulated environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out multi-drop deliveries of chemical products to commercial and industrial clients

    * Ensure full compliance with ADR regulations and all transport legislation

    * Safely load, secure, and unload hazardous goods in line with company and legal standards

    * Complete all relevant delivery paperwork, manifests, and compliance documentation accurately

    * Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly

    * Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all delivery points

    * Adhere to health & safety procedures at all times, particularly when handling hazardous materials

    * Maintain communication with the transport team regarding schedules, delays, or issues

    Requirements

    * Valid UK Driving Licence (Category C1 – 7.5 Tonne)

    * ADR Licence (Packages minimum; Tanks desirable but not essential)

    * Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

    * Previous experience in a similar driving role, ideally within chemical, hazardous goods, or regulated environments

    * Strong understanding of driver hours, WTD, and compliance requirements

    * Good geographical knowledge and ability to plan routes effectively

    * Excellent communication and customer service skills

    Desirable

    * Experience delivering chemicals or hazardous materials

    * FLT licence (Counterbalance)

    * Knowledge of COSHH regulations
