How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are an award-winning business, renowned for our made-to-last products and accessories. We occupy the high end of our marketplace, our products are specified by architects, designers, property developers, and discerning customers.

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team in Birmingham. This role plays a vital part in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our luxury metal products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and performance.

    Commutable from Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Willenhall, Aston, Solihull, Moseley, Minworth, Tamworth, Stourbridge, Dudley, Aldridge and Bournville

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Hands on inspection and test of products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards

    * Monitor manufacturing processes using SOPs and implement corrective actions where required

    * Create, maintain, and update quality documentation, including inspection procedures and test plans

    * Root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative action plans

    * Working cross-functionally to resolve quality issues and improve processes

    * Train team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practice

    What we’re looking for:

    * Quality Assurance experience from within a manufacturing industry sector background

    * Previous experience of inspection and test

    * Experience of Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions

    * Strong problem solving skills

    * Knowledge of SAP would be useful but not essential

    * An understanding of manufacturing processes

    * A strong desire to make a difference and motivated to make an impact
