This is a hybrid role with 3 set days in the office per week.
About you:
This person will be a subject matter expert for Golang within the company. They have some Golang capabilities in the team already, so this person will expand on that as well as coach and mentor juniors and mid-level engineers on their Golang knowledge.
You’ll have experience building scalable backend systems, along with a solid understanding of data processing, performance optimisation, and system design
This is a highly regulated industry so a background in financial services or similar would be beneficial.
About the role:
Design and build high-performance services using Go (Golang)
Develop and optimise large-scale financial calculation engines
Build systems that handle and reconcile high volumes of capital, positions, and holdings accurately
Design systems with scalability, reliability, and low latency in mind
Work with complex, high-volume datasets and portfolio logic
Collaborate closely with frontend and backend teams to integrate services
Contribute to system design, performance improvements, and infrastructure decision
