Academics are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in the Stoke-on-Trent area for a Teaching Assistant to support the SEN team. This is a full-time position, initially running from 11th May until the May half-term, with a strong likelihood of extension until the end of the academic year - and potentially beyond for the right candidate.
About the Role:
Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across KS3 and KS4
Working one-to-one and in small groups to support learning and engagement
Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored support strategies
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environmentIdeal Applicant:
Experience working with young people, ideally within a school or SEN setting
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
