Financial Accountant (Investment Management)

We are working with a high growth investment management firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The Role
This is a newly created role in a growing team and will support the Finance Director in all aspects of Accounting and Reporting.
You will play a key role in supporting the firm’s finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.
This role would ideally suit someone who has worked in a financial services business or audited financial services businesses in the past.
The role will pay £55k-£60k plus up to 75% bonus, 10% non-contributory pension and is 4 days a week in central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of monthly management and partnership accounts
- Contribute to the preparation of annual audited financial statements
- Support quarterly and annual audit processes
- Coordinate corporate filings with Companies House
- Oversee budget tracking and internal reporting
- Contribute to improving finance processes and reporting automation
- Work closely with the outsourced accounts payable provider to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, including intercompany transactions
- Approve invoices and process bank payments
- Calculate management and performance fees (with oversight) and manage client invoicing
- Manage employee benefits renewals (e.g. Private medical, life insurance)
- Oversee pension schemes and employee contributions
- Manage P11D reporting and PSA submissions with HMRC
- Assist with regulatory reporting requirements
About You
- Professionally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Proactive, energetic, and self-motivated
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Keen interest in investment management and adding value across the business
- Experience in financial services (particularly LLPs) is advantageous but not essential
