Working for a supply agency as either an unqualified teaching assistant, cover supervisor or instructor will give you a head start when applying for a PGCE or another course to become a qualified teacher. The experience gained will be valuable on any application made to join on a teaching course.

To become a Teacher in Luton you will require;

* Working with children either as a sports coach, guide/scout leader, volunteer at a school for 3 months or more.

* Be willing to start as an unqualified teaching assistant to gain experience.

* Be able to attend our free training for cover supervisors.

* Be able to supply last employer reference details.

Hold or be willing to obtain a DBS.
