How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    A well-established and globally respected engineering manufacturer is seeking a Assembly Team Leader to take ownership of assembly operations within a high-performance production environment.
      
    This Assembly Team Leader role is ideal for someone with strong leadership capability, hands-on assembly knowledge, and a focus on quality, delivery, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met while developing a skilled and efficient team.

    As a Assembly Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating assembly activities, managing resources, and maintaining high standards across safety, quality, and productivity.
      
    This position offers the opportunity to influence operational performance and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
      
    The successful Assembly Team Leader will come from an electronics or engineering manufacturing background and be confident leading teams in a structured production environment.
      
    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and manage the assembly team to deliver production targets
    Allocate resources to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
    Support team members with technical issues and day-to-day challenges
    Maintain production schedules, skills matrices, and workflow visibility
    Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
    Ensure compliance with quality standards, build procedures, and ESD requirements
    Train, onboard, and develop staff to improve capability and performance
    Monitor quality output and ensure accurate documentation completion
    Maintain high standards of housekeeping and working practices   
    Requirements

    Experience within an electronics or engineering manufacturing environment
    Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes
    Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
    Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
    Strong communication and organisational skills
    Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production setting
