The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator with strong CNC press brake / brake press experience to join a well-established and growing engineering business based in Dartford.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone confident working with sheet metal, operating CNC press brake machinery, and producing high-quality components to specification.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form metal components
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Carry out sheet metal fabrication duties including cutting, folding, and forming
* Ensure all work is completed to high quality standards and within tolerances
* Perform basic machine maintenance and routine checks
* Work with a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
* Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator or similar role
* Strong experience operating CNC press brake machinery
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Good knowledge of sheet metal processes and fabrication techniques
* High attention to detail and quality standards
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Must live within a commutable distance to Dartford
Desirable
* Experience with specific CNC press brake controls (e.g. Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic)
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Relevant engineering or fabrication qualifications
