How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Domestic Gas Engineer
    Location: Norwich
    Salary: £42,000 – £48,160 (OTE with enhancements)
    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

    Domestic Gas Engineer – Norwich

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer to join a busy and growing team carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs on domestic heating and hot water systems.

    This role offers flexible working patterns, strong earning potential, and excellent benefits.

    The Role

    * Service, repair, and maintain domestic gas boilers and heating systems

    * Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs

    * Work across residential properties

    * Deliver high levels of customer service

    * Complete job reports and paperwork

    * Ensure compliance with Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations

    * Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota

    Requirements

    * ACS Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1

    * Proven experience in domestic gas servicing & repairs

    * Strong fault-finding skills

    * Full UK Driving Licence

    * Good communication and customer service skills

    Working Hours (Flexible Options)

    * Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm (40 hours)

    * 4-day week, 8am–7pm (40 hours) + up to £4,160 enhancement

    * Mon–Fri, 8am–5:30pm (42.5 hours) + up to £2,749 enhancement

    * Call-out rota (evenings & weekends)
