TeacherActive is proud to be working with a busy and supportive FE college in Birmingham that is urgently seeking a skilled Functional Skills Maths Lecturer. The college has a strong focus on progression and prides itself on creating an engaging environment where every learner is supported to succeed.
The college is looking to take on a proactive Functional Skills Maths Lecturer on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Functional Skills Maths Lecturer will be delivering Functional Skills Maths to post-16 learners, working with a range of abilities and using engaging teaching methods to drive achievement and build confidence.
The successful Functional Skills Maths Lecturer will have:
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths in an FE or similar setting
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• The ability to motivate and engage learners effectively
• A flexible and proactive approach
