How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role – Associate Director of Landscape Architecture

    Location – London

    Salary - £DOE

    A design-led, multidisciplinary studio based in central London, with a strong pipeline of work across the UK and internationally, is looking to appoint an Associate Director of Landscape Architecture to play a key role in shaping and growing its landscape team. The workload is centred around large-scale residential and mixed-use developments, often in complex urban settings, including build to rent, co-living and regeneration schemes. Projects typically involve integrated public realm, courtyards and masterplanning elements, with landscape input helping to define movement, layout and overall identity from the earliest stages.

    The studio is well located with strong transport links, making it easily accessible from across London and the surrounding areas. The working environment is studio-focused and collaborative, with landscape, architecture and urban design teams working closely together day to day.

    THE ROLE

    This is a senior leadership position with a strong emphasis on design quality and project influence.

    The successful candidate will:

    * Lead projects from early concept through planning stages

    * Drive design thinking across multidisciplinary teams

    * Take ownership of client relationships and key project meetings

    * Mentor and support junior team members

    * Contribute to the ongoing development and direction of the landscape team

    ABOUT YOU

    * Strong design background with a portfolio that demonstrates creativity, clarity of thought and built work

    * Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute

    * Proven experience delivering UK residential and mixed-use developments at scale

    * Ability to lead projects from concept through planning with confidence

    * Strong understanding of placemaking, layout design and spatial strategy

    * Experience working on complex urban sites with multiple constraints

    * Confident presenting to clients, design teams and stakeholders

    * Comfortable taking ownership of projects and managing competing priorities

    * Experience mentoring and developing junior team members

    * Commercial awareness and an understanding of project viability

    * Ability to build and maintain client relationships

    * Collaborative approach with experience working closely alongside architects and urban designers

    ON OFFER

    * Competitive salary with regular reviews

    * Clear progression pathway towards Director level

    * Bonus structure linked to individual and company performance

    * Flexible and hybrid working arrangements

    * Generous annual leave allowance plus additional days for long service

    * Pension contribution

    * Professional membership fees covered

    * Ongoing support with chartership and CPD

    * Access to high-quality design projects from early stages

    * Collaborative, multidisciplinary studio environment

    * Regular social events and team activities

    * Wellbeing support and initiatives
