How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Do you have the patience and resilience to support children with SEND needs?

    TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Leamington Spa, who are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1. The school has a supportive and inclusive ethos, with a strong focus on providing tailored support to ensure every child can thrive.

    The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 on a long-term basis, working full-time across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 will support pupils with additional needs, working closely with class teachers to deliver targeted interventions and promote both academic and emotional development.

    The successful SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 will have:

    • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
    • Experience supporting children with SEND on a 1:1 basis
    • Experience working across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2
    • A calm, patient and nurturing approach
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • A proactive and adaptable attitude
