How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a well-established manufacturing business in the Southwest for a Production Planning Manager. 

    This is a position where you’ll take real ownership of production planning, lead a team, and play a critical role in driving performance, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

    The Role
    You’ll be responsible for leading the production planning function, ensuring plans are delivered effectively and aligned with customer demand.
    Working closely with production and purchasing teams, you’ll focus on improving processes, managing capacity, and ensuring operations run smoothly.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Developing and managing the master production plan
    Leading and developing the planning team
    Managing capacity planning and resource allocation
    Working with inventory teams to maintain stock levels
    Using MRP and scheduling systems to drive production
    Identifying bottlenecks and improving efficiency
    Monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement
    Ensuring data accuracy across planning systems About You

    Proven experience in production planning within manufacturing
    Strong understanding of MRP systems and scheduling
    Experience leading or mentoring a team
    Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
    Confident communicator who can work cross-functionally
