We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a commercial strip out project in Stevenage for a well-established interiors contractor.
This is a hands-on site-based role, responsible for managing day-to-day operations on a fast-paced commercial refurbishment and strip-out scheme. The successful candidate will ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily site operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of strip-out works
Oversee subcontractors and direct labour on site
Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations, RAMS, and site procedures
Coordinate logistics, waste removal, and site segregation
Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions
Monitor programme progress and report updates to the Project Manager
Carry out quality checks and ensure works are completed to specification
Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders and site teams
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial refurbishment or strip-out projects
Strong knowledge of health & safety compliance in live environments
Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades
Excellent organisational and communication skills
SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold preferred), and First Aid certification
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
