About the Company
We are a growing, independent freight forwarding business specialising in road, ocean, and customs solutions.
With a strong reputation for delivering flexible, customer-focused logistics services, we are now looking to recruit a Freight Forwarder to join our operations team.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on role with a focus on European road freight operations, alongside exposure to customs and wider logistics activities.
You'll play a key role in coordinating shipments, liaising with customers and suppliers, and ensuring smooth end-to-end delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage European road freight shipments
Liaise with customers, carriers, and international partners
Handle shipment queries and resolve operational issues
Support import and export customs processes
Assist with quoting and pricing where required
Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational records
Support wider logistics operations when needed
About You
Essential:
Experience in freight forwarding or transport planning (road preferred)
Understanding of import/export or customs processes
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Confident using IT systemsDesirable
Experience with European road freight (groupage or full load)
Exposure to customs procedures
Experience working in a smaller or fast-paced business
