About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and hands-on Painter / Labourer to join our busy workshop team in Bishops Waltham. You'll play an important role in the preparation and painting of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs)-including scissor lifts and boom lifts-ensuring each machine is painted and finished to a high professional standard.
This is a practical, varied position combining industrial painting, surface preparation, and general workshop support within a friendly and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and paint mobile elevating equipment to a high-quality finish.
Carry out surface preparation including cleaning, masking, sanding, and grinding.
Remove old or failing paint using tools such as sanders or grinders.
Apply industrial coatings and finishes using aerosol or spray systems.
Work efficiently to meet production targets and maintain workshop standards.
Follow all site health & safety procedures and wear provided PPE.
Support general labouring and workshop duties as required.
About You
Previous experience in an industrial painting, workshop, or mechanical finishing role.
Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a positive attitude.
Physically fit and comfortable performing manual tasks.
