How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Our client, one of the world's largest construction and development companies, is seeking an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer to join their Building Services team.

    In this role, you will ensure the hospital remains a safe, clean, and well-ventilated space that directly aids patient recovery. By maintaining statutory compliance and operational safety, you will make a lasting, positive impact on the local community.

    The Role
    As the Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for periodic electrical inspection and testing across the estate. Your key duties will include:

    Inspection & Testing: Delivering periodic testing in line with current regulations
    Certification: Producing high-quality, accurate test reports and technical documentation.
    Compliance: Supporting audits and ensuring all documentation is maintained for statutory requirements.
    Technical Support: Assisting with wider electrical maintenance, including emergency lighting repairs, reactive fault finding, and minor works on systems such as access control and CCTV.
    Lifecycle Projects: Supporting ongoing lifecycle replacement programmes and electrical upgrades where required.
    Safety: Adhering to all relevant health and safety legislation and internal safety procedures. You
    To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong technical background and a commitment to precision:

    Qualifications: Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing.
    Technical Expertise: Strong experience in periodic inspection, testing, certification, and electrical fault diagnosis.
    Judgement: Sound judgement regarding compliance with regulations and the ability to work independently.
    Precision: The ability to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced hospital environment.
