About the Role

Career Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing and highly motivated Early Years Teacher to join a warm, inclusive primary setting for a one‑year maternity cover starting in May 2026. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the early development of children within a school community that prioritises inclusion, high expectations and a love of learning.

You will become part of a dedicated team that is committed to giving every child the best possible start in their education. This role is ideal for someone with passion, creativity and a genuine commitment to Early Years education. You will have the opportunity to help shape the progress, independence and resilience of the school's youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Create a warm, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
Support children's physical, emotional, social and intellectual development
Build positive relationships with children and their families
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging EYFS activities
Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform teaching
Maintain accurate records to support children's development and next steps
Promote independence, curiosity and a love of learningRequirements

Successful applicants will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Strong understanding of child development and EYFS curriculum expectations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to create an engaging, inclusive and safe learning environment.
