Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer who are looking to appoint a Maintenance Manager to take full ownership of site engineering performance across its operation.
This company has built a strong reputation for its team-first culture, a site where people genuinely support each other and take pride in what they deliver. You'll lead a team of 10 engineers, taking responsibility for all maintenance activity across the site, this is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be actively involved on the shop floor, driving performance and setting standards.
As a Maintenance Manager your key responsibilities include:
Overall responsibility of the day to day running of the maintenance team.
Work closely with production to ensure rapid response to breakdown issues
Managing the engineering department budget
Leading, developing and supporting the engineering team
Prioritising and coordinating breakdown response to minimise disruption
Driving continuous improvement across reliability and efficiency
Ensuring compliance with food manufacturing and safety standards
Promote a strong health & safety cultureWhat You'll Bring to this Maintenance Manager role:
Apprentice trained to level 3 as a minimum, ideally holding a HNC / HND in engineering
Proven experience managing engineering teams
Background within food manufacturing
Strong pro active leadership skills and the ability to positively influence the team.
