The Role
We are seeking an experienced Conventional Machinist / Manual Miller & Turner to join the team. This is a hands-on position suited to a skilled machinist who is confident operating manual milling machines and capable of working on lathes when required. You will be responsible for producing high-quality components across a range of materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual milling machines to produce precision-engineered components
Use manual lathes as required
Machine parts from both ferrous and non-ferrous materials
Work with materials including mild steel, stainless steel, copper, and occasional plastics
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and workmanship
Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm (early finish)
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Conventional Machinist / Manual Miller & Turner
Experience operating manual lathes
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a small, supportive environment
