How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant
    Location: Leyland
    Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30, Term Time Only.
    Salary: From £110 per day, DOE

    About the Role:
    Are you experienced in social care or children's homes and eager to take your skills into a new, rewarding career path? We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Unqualified Teaching Assistants.

    In this role, you will work within mainstream primary schools, providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop independence, and feel fully included in school life.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Support children with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, challenging behaviour, and speech and language delays.
    Work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting lessons and creating personalised resources to suit individual learning needs.
    Support pupils during breaks and activities outside the classroom, ensuring inclusion and safety.
    Assist teachers in delivering an engaging and accessible learning experience for all children.
    Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, resilience, and progress.About You:
    We are looking for someone with:

    Experience working in social care, personal care, or similar supportive environments.
    An interest in education and a willingness to learn and develop within a school setting.
    Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with children who may face barriers to learning.
    Flexibility and creativity in adapting activities and strategies to meet individual needs.
