How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Team Leader

    £30,128 - £31,031, Burgess Hill, 8am-4pm (30‑minute unpaid break), Permanent, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Private Health Care (Vitality), Cycle to Work Scheme, MacBook, Office Dogs

    The Role

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Team Leader to join a well‑established and growing clothing print business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for leading the production team and optimising end‑to‑end production processes across multiple print disciplines.

    The Production Team Leader will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, while fostering a positive, engaged, and collaborative team environment.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Leading the production team to deliver high‑quality products efficiently
    Overseeing daily workflow across all production areas, including screen printing, embroidery, and vinyl processes
    Monitoring production schedules and ensuring deadlines are consistently met
    Conducting regular one‑to‑one meetings, providing feedback and performance support
    Organising and leading team meetings to communicate objectives and updates
    Supporting onboarding and training of new team members
    Carrying out quality checks and addressing production issues promptly
    Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
    Acting as a key point of communication between production and senior management
    Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills with a proactive and solution‑focused approach. Experience within a production or manufacturing environment is desirable, ideally within clothing print or a similar sector. You will be highly organised, quality‑driven, and confident managing people in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills and a hands‑on leadership style are essential, along with a genuine commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.

    This role could suit someone who has worked as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Team Leader, or Print Production Manager.
