The School of Vocational and Technical Studies (VTS) at South Thames College is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Construction lecturer to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. This post plays a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development.
You’ll develop, initiate, promote and sustain innovative and quality improvement intervention strategies and actively contribute to the school community, identifying opportunities for employment and skills focused study for learners.
We’d like you to hold a relevant qualification in Construction or a related field and hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards). With recent UK teaching experience in Construction in an FE College, you’ll have proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
With a good understanding of current FE curriculum frameworks and quality standards, you’ll have strong classroom management skills, able to motivate diverse learners and differentiate teaching to meet a wide range of learner needs. You’ll be proficient in the use of digital technologies to support teaching, learning and assessment, able to manage workload and meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
