* This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, equipment, and services to support operations and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead procurement activities across multiple projects and operational requirements
* Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in line with business and technical needs
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and framework agreements to achieve best value
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and performance targets are met
* Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and requirements
* Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures
* Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply risks within engineering and industrial sectors
* Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement within the supply chain
* Resolve supplier issues, including delays, non-conformance, and commercial disputes
* Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health & safety requirements
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Senior Buyer or similar procurement role within engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industry
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements
* Experience managing complex supply chains and working with international suppliers
* Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical mindset
Desirable:
* Experience within power, utilities, or industrial infrastructure sectors
* Knowledge of fabrication, mechanical, or electrical components procurement
