Trainee Electrician

We are currently looking for a recently qualified Electrician with a Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification and knowledge of BS7671 to join our Client in Loughborough.   The role of the Electrician will be to join a small team of Electrical Technicians repsonsible for all things electrical. You will receive full training in all electrical applications within the Electrical Department.  Please read the job description below to see if you would be a good fit.

Salary:

£12.71 to £12.85ph 

Hours:

7.45 to 16.30 Monday to Friday 7.45 to 15.15 Friday 

The Role:

You will be part of a small, skilled team of Electrical Technicians responsible for all electrical aspects of projects, from first-off builds to final inspection and on-site installation. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work on bespoke, high-end units in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities - Full Training given in all of the beleow elements 

Site maintenance and electrical safety testing
Installation of all electrical components within first-off units
Inspection and testing of completed units prior to dispatch
Ensuring all units meet electrical safety regulations and company standards
Signing off first-off builds
Working closely with the design team to achieve the highest standard of electrical installation
Manufacturing AC/DC cables and LED strip assemblies from scratch
Modifying stock assemblies to meet new requirements, including soldering, crimping, and use of power tools
Supporting installation teams with new unit installations
Repairing and maintaining units in the field across the UK and occasionally overseas
Creating and maintaining company documentation and reports related to electrical work

What we are looking for:

Recently qualified Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification -(with knowledge of BS7671)
A practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge (training provided)
Recent Level 3 Electrotechnical Qulaification with BS7671 knowledge 
Experience with soldering, crimping, and power tools is desirable
Ability to work well within a small team and communicate effectively
Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad
