How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a major client in the recruitment of an experienced Electrical Craftsperson to join their established Engineering team at a large-scale, heavy industrial facility in Teesside.

    The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Craft Team Member to work in a highly automated and mechanically advanced environment. You'll be responsible for delivering safe, efficient electrical maintenance across a range of plant and machinery - ensuring asset reliability and operational effectiveness.
Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll report directly to the Shift Engineering Team Leader and support both proactive maintenance activities and reactive response to breakdowns.

    Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine and reactive electrical maintenance tasks to support operational uptime.
Assist with breakdown recovery, inspections, and repair works.
Ensure compliance with all site safety requirements and statutory regulations.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with Day Engineering and Manufacturing teams to deliver planned maintenance programmes.
Use modern maintenance systems and digital tools (e.g., SAP) to log and track tasks. What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly motivated and qualified Electrical Craftsperson who can demonstrate:

A recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (essential).
Relevant qualifications - City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC, or NVQ Level 3 (certificate evidence required).
Strong hands-on experience in heavy industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
Familiarity with permit systems, isolation procedures, and safety legislation.
A team-oriented approach, with flexibility and strong communication skills.
Good timekeeping and a proactive attitude to work. What's In It for You

27 days personal annual leave + statutory bank holidays
    Defined contribution company pension scheme
    Company sick pay scheme
    Life assurance cover
Health Cash Plan with Simply Health
    Employee Assistance Programme
    Standby and call-out payments
    Enhanced family-friendly benefits (maternity/paternity/adoption)
    Ongoing training and development support
