How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Company Overview – Service & Installation Air Conditioning Engineer

    Our client is a well-established, independent HVAC specialist with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality air conditioning solutions across the South of England.

    Due to continued growth and increased demand, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Service & Installation Air Conditioning Engineer to join their highly valued team on a full-time permanent basis.

    You will be working across a variety of commercial properties including offices, gyms, retail units, and other commercial environments throughout Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, and surrounding areas.

    This role will involve a mix of installation, service, maintenance, and fault-finding work on a wide range of air conditioning systems.

    Service & Installation Air Conditioning Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

    • Carry out installation of a wide range of air conditioning systems
    • Perform service, maintenance, and repair work across commercial sites
    • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
    • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with current regulations
    • Take responsibility for the quality of work delivered on-site
    • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent service
    • Complete all relevant job documentation accurately
    • Work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

    Service & Installation Air Conditioning Engineer Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in air conditioning service and installation
    • F-Gas Category 1 certification (Essential)
    • Full UK driving licence (Essential)
    • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
    • Good communication and customer-facing skills
    • Experience working within commercial environments (offices, gyms, retail, etc.)
