How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Food Production operative - Staveley, Chesterfield.

    Hours of work/Payrate: 

    Rota shifts once worker has become settled with the role etc. 2 week shifts, examples below - 
    7am till 3pm for 2 weeks, 12pm till 8pm for 2 weeks, 8am till 4pm for 2 weeks.
    Starting rate is £12.71 per hour, this position is a temp-perm role, and the pay/role will change through your time with the company.

    *PLEASE NOTE IN BUSY PERIOD WORKERS MIGHT BE REQUIRED TO WORK 1AM TILL 9AM FOR TWO WEEKS*

    Attributes we are looking for:

    Ability to work within a Food Manufacturing Environment
    Good level of numeracy, literacy and general education is essential
    Production Operative experience
    Ability and willingness to perform manual work
    Experience working in a Food Manufacturing Environment
    Main duties and responsibilities:

    Working on a fast-paced production line producing food products.
    Preparing ingredients, including weighing, measuring, slicing, and assembling products
    Operating machinery and equipment safely in line with training and SOPs
    Packing finished products and ensuring correct labelling and date coding
    Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet company and food safety standards
    Maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness (clean-as-you-go practices)
    Following all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations (e.g. PPE, GMP standards)
    Working in chilled or temperature-controlled environments where required
    Handling raw and cooked food products in line with company procedures
    Assisting with loading, unloading, and general manual handling tasks
    Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines
    Reporting any faults, defects, or issues to supervisors promptly
