How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced, QTS-qualified KS2 teacher who relishes the challenge of Year 6? Join a school in Harrow where you will lead pupils through their final primary year, preparing them for KS2 SATs and the exciting transition to secondary school.

    About the role

    Tradewind Recruitment is working with Harrow primary schools to find a skilled Year 6 Teacher for September 2026, available full-time or part-time.

    Year 6 is one of the most rewarding - and demanding - year groups to teach. You will deliver the KS2 National Curriculum at pace and with precision, with a clear focus on preparing pupils for statutory KS2 SATs assessments in reading, writing, grammar, punctuation, spelling and mathematics.

    You will use assessment data, pupil progress meetings and targeted intervention to maximise outcomes for every child. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO staff and senior leadership to ensure all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL, receive the support they need to succeed.

    What we are looking for

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
    Year 6 or upper KS2 teaching experience - strongly preferred
    Confident knowledge of KS2 SATs content, expectations and preparation strategies
    Strong subject knowledge in English and mathematics at KS2 level
    Data-driven approach to tracking pupil progress and planning interventions
    Excellent behaviour management and the ability to motivate and stretch pupils
    Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection knowledge
