How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are currently recruiting for an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant (ANTA) to support schools across Blackpool. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
    The role will involve working closely with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social or emotional challenges. You will provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
    Key responsibilities:

    Support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
    Help to implement tailored learning and behaviour strategies
    Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families
    Support the class teacher in managing the classroom and adapting activities
    Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning
    Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all timesWe are looking for someone who:

    Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs
    Is calm, patient and adaptable in challenging situations
    Can build strong relationships and communicate effectively
    Has a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and additional needs
    Understands the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries
    Holds a relevant TA qualification or has transferable experience from care/support work, youth work or similar settingsIn return, we offer:
