How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hourly Rates:

    > Level 2 qualified: £14.00 phr

    > Level 3 qualified: £15.00 phr

    The Role

    As an agency member, you will step into different early years environments to provide high-quality care and education. Your day-to-day will include:

    * Supporting children’s learning and development through play, in line with the EYFS framework.

    * Building quick, positive relationships with children, permanent staff, and parents.

    * Maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5.

    * Assisting with daily routines, including meal times and personal care

    What We’re Looking For

    * Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 in Childcare/Early Years Diploma

    * Education: English GCSE grade C/4+ (if qualified after Sept 2014

    * Safeguarding: Level 3 Paediactric First Aid Qualification - desirable (if qualified after 30th June 2016)

    * Experience: Proven experience working in a nursery, school, or similar setting.

    * Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo a new one).

    * Mindset: A proactive, reliable, and adaptable "can-do" attitude.

    Supply Star Little Learners Recruitment is committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults. All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS (£63 if not on the update service) and two satisfactory references.You must have a clear enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this role. If you do not have one Supply Star Recruitment can support you in obtaining one.
