What You Will Do:
- Support the delivery of brakes refinement customer quality targets for one or more vehicle programmes or platforms, ensuring milestones are met.
- Conduct test and development activities, including physical and virtual testing, measurement, and visual assessments as outlined in the Design Verification Plan (DVP).
- Collaborate with lead engineers to drive implementation and resolution of engineering solutions.
- Provide technical recommendations and detailed reports to support decision-making.
- Participate in competitor benchmarking and attribute futuring to ensure the company remains ahead of industry trends.
- Regularly support testing activities in the UK and across European locations, including Spain, Sweden, and Finland.
What You Will Bring:
- Knowledge of automotive brake system design and engineering principles.
- Experience with problem-solving tools such as Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of Problem Solving, and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Familiarity with NVH analysis and industry-standard NVH measurement systems like LMS Test.lab and HEAD Artemis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- A relevant degree, ideally MEng, with a strong understanding of vehicle engineering and cross-functional processes.
