How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Aberdeenshire (Hybrid Working)
    Contract Type: Agency Contract
    Industry: Energy / Drilling / ROV / Marine

    A leading organisation within the Energy sector is seeking an experienced HR Manager or Senior HR Professional to join their team on a 6-month initial contract with the opportunity to move to permanent contract.
    This role is ideally suited to a strong HR generalist who can support both office based and offshore populations in a fast paced, operational environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    * Deliver full 360 HR support across corporate, operational and offshore workforces
    * Manage employee relations matters across diverse workforce groups
    * Support offshore personnel, including rotations, logistics and compliance requirements
    * Lead on onboarding, performance management, absence, HR advisory and employee engagement
    * Partner closely with operational leaders while working autonomously
    * Support workforce planning and organisational development initiatives

    About You
    To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
    * Strong employee relations experience
    * Previous HR experience within Energy, Drilling, ROV, Marine or other safety critical industries
    * Experience supporting offshore personnel
    * Broad generalist HR capability with an operational focus
    * CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 (desirable)
    * Confidence influencing and advising stakeholders at all levels
