Fixed Term - Full Academic Year (Maternity Cover)
Veritas Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑regarded secondary school in Preston, who are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher with a specialism in Biology to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full‑time maternity cover position for the entire academic year, offering an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and enthusiastic ECTs to gain valuable experience in a supportive school environment.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Inspire a passion for science and support pupils in achieving their full potential
Plan, prepare and assess in line with the national curriculum
Work collaboratively within a committed and forward‑thinking Science department

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have a strong subject knowledge in Biology
