How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a leading pioneer in the aerospace industry, specialising in autonomous drone technology, is currently seeking a Regulations Specialist to join their team in Fareham. This role offers hybrid working with a requirement of a minimum of 3 days on-site, and is a permanent position within the innovative and rapidly growing sector of middle mile logistics.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop and lead the MAA approvals applications.
    Produce regulatory applications and documentation to support operations.
    Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements (civil and military).
    Stay current with local, regional, and international civil and military regulations and standards related to Open and Specific category drone operations.
    Engage with aviation stakeholders to develop methods to minimise operational disruption to airspace users.
    Advise on standard requirements from the aviation authorities and collaborate to integrate new technology.
    Work with other industries and stakeholders on the future of regulatory standards.
    Coordinate with the flight operations team to plan for future operations.

    Job Requirements:

    Experience with MAA regulatory frameworks including CFAOS and RA1600 series.
    Knowledge of local and international regulatory frameworks such as CAP722, CAP1616, and SORA framework.
    Experience working with aviation-related military organisations and the UK MAA specifically.
    Experience in writing Operating Safety Cases.
    Understanding of SORA and airspace change processes.
    Understanding of Air Traffic Management.
    Knowledge of communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) systems.
    Strong interest in aviation technologies and drone operations.
    Ability to communicate at a high level with regulatory authorities.
    Experience in obtaining aviation permits, licences, and certifications, preferably in the drone sector.
