Salary: £24,454 p.a (Monthly pay)
Hours of work: 37 hours pw working Mon - Thurs 08:30 - 17:00 and Fridays 09:00 - 15:00
Contract: Permanent
Main Responsibilities:
Process automotive high voltage lithium-ion batteries and battery scrap materials through the safe operation of our battery recycling equipment & machinery
Perform battery inspections, discharging, testing, crushing and output of battery materials
Liaise with engineers and team members to develop and improve our in-house processes
Workshop management (e.g. PPE is checked and used correctly, machinery is not misused)
Assist with the monitoring of waste quantities and outputted products (e.g. black mass)
Ensure that all processes are followed correctly to tight deadlinesSkills required:
Experience of working in a warehouse/yard environment
Safety-first approach to work is essential
Excellent attention to detail and a great work ethic
Methodological approach to tasks and ability to work in an orderly, disciplined manner
Great communication skills (Clear written and verbal communication is essential)
Physically able to carry out manual tasks: The role is a very Physical role
Able to understand and follow processes and safe systems of work (SSOW)Desirable:
Experience of electronics and/or Hazardous high voltage experience and awareness (training is provided)
Forklift counterbalance experience but training will be provided
3 A-Levels and/or a technical level qualification (e.g. vocational course)
