How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

    We’re looking for a commercially driven Regional Sales Manager to take ownership of the Midlands region, growing market share and building long‑term partnerships across our drainage and water management portfolio.

    This is a role for a confident deal‑maker who knows the drainage and heavy civils market, thrives on autonomy and enjoys being front‑and‑centre with customers.You’ll represent a premium range of trusted solutions, working closely with builders’ merchants, contractors and project stakeholders to create demand and deliver sustainable growth.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Growing sales and expanding Hydro’s presence across the Midlands region
    Building strong, lasting relationships with builders’ merchants, main contractors and groundwork specialists
    Proactively identifying opportunities, uncovering customer needs and winning high‑value projects
    Owning your territory — managing your pipeline, forecasting accurately and delivering results
    Following projects through from initial engagement to successful close
    Working closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless, high‑quality customer experience
    Using CRM systems (Goldmine and MS Dynamics) to manage activity, opportunities and performanceThis is a role for someone who enjoys independence, thrives on results and knows how to convert opportunities into long‑term customer partnerships.

    About You

    You’ll bring strong commercial credibility and technical understanding, along with:

    Proven experience selling drainage or heavy civils products
    Proven experience with sustainable drainage solutions
    Strong technical knowledge across stormwater storage, flow control and treatment systems
    A successful track record selling through builders’ merchants and directly to contractors
    Confident communication, presentation and negotiation skills
    A self‑motivated, resilient approach — you own your region and your outcomes
    The ability to manage complex sales cycles from first conversation through to contract awardMust Haves
