This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, multidisciplinary rail schemes, contributing to the design, coordination, and delivery of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of civil and structural engineering solutions for rail projects
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across signalling, MEP (mechanical, electrical & power), telecoms, and civils
* Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements
* Support project planning, risk management, and technical assurance processes
* Engage with stakeholders including contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with ICE or IStructE
* Proven experience working on UK rail infrastructure projects
* Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary rail systems including:
* Signalling
* MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Power)
* Telecoms
* Civil engineering works
* Familiarity with Network Rail project frameworks such as GRIP or PACE
Salary upto £75,000 depending on experience.
