How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Fabric Technician

    This is a fantastic opportunity if you are a semi-skilled maintenance technician or a good all-rounder with Fabric maintenance skills to get involved and join a team of building services maintenance engineers working at a high-profile commercial maintenance contract located across a small portfolio of modern commercial office buildings located in Liverpool Street, St Paul’s, Piccadilly and Victoria.

    There is already an existing maintenance team across to locations so you would provide support and be supported in maintaining these offices and your travel between sites is covered with a zone 1-2 travel card.

    Responsibilities of the Maintenance Fabric Technician

    * Daily inspection of the plant rooms and office floors

    * Set up of meeting rooms.

    * Taking tap temperatures across the building

    * Replacing Lamps

    * Carrying out PPM’s

    * Escorting visiting contractors around the building

    * Basic plumbing tasks, attending to leaks and blockages.

    * Repairs to Fabric of the building

    About You as the Maintenance Fabric Technician

    * Good all-round Fabric Technician skills and practical minded

    * Familiar with using hand tools and basic power tools.

    * If you had some plumbing, carpentry or decorating skills that would be great.

    * Experienced Fabric Technician with Mechanical or Electrical plant and equipment would be perfect.

    * Ability to drive.

    * Happy to pass a background check for security purposes.

    This is a busy commercial office facility, lots to keep a Fabric Technician involved and there is a full resident engineering team put in place with full management backup and administrative support.

    The hours are 08:00 – 17:00
