You will be working on a 1:1 basis, supporting a pupil with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and manage their behaviour effectively.
This role requires someone who can:
Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil
Support learning both inside and outside the classroom
Deliver activities in line with the curriculum
Promote positive behaviour and confidently de-escalate challenging situations
Work independently while also contributing to the wider school team
Liaise effectively with parents and external professionalsThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Health & Social Care, Teaching Assistant or similar
Recent experience supporting children with ADHD or similar needs
Confidence managing and supporting challenging behaviour
The ability to fully immerse themselves in school life
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive, patient and nurturing approachRequirements:
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Smile Education
Recent experience in a similar role
