Occupational Therapist

Nocturnal Recruitment is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a locality-based Health and Adult Social Services (HASS) multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to deliver meaningful, person-centred interventions that support adults to live safely and independently within their communities.

You will contribute to a collaborative, integrated health and social care environment, undertaking complex assessments and leading on major adaptations. The role offers structured supervision, flexible working, and clear professional development pathways.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct complex occupational therapy assessments, delivering holistic and person-centred evaluations for individuals with diverse health needs and their carers

* Assess, design, and recommend major adaptations and complex equipment, including interpreting plans, preparing sketches, and producing detailed specifications

* Complete comprehensive manual handling assessments and provide clear, practical guidance for safe mobility, transfers, and positioning

* Recommend and review both standard and specialist equipment, ensuring safe use in line with legislation and policy

* Manage and prioritise a complex caseload, progressing cases efficiently through the service

* Develop and review support plans collaboratively with service users, within social care and housing legislation frameworks

* Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care delivery

* Maintain accurate, compliant records in line with HCPC standards and organisational policies

Essential Requirements

* Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration

* Strong experience in major adaptations and complex equipment provision

* In-depth knowledge of manual handling and specialist equipment assessments

* Proven ability to carry out complex, person-centred assessments and support planning

* Sound understanding of social care legislation and housing frameworks

* Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise complex caseloads independently

* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams

* Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Desirable:
