Temp to Perm, on-site five days per week
Technique Recruitment Solutions are working alongside a global machinery and product manufacturer who have a new opportunity for a fulltime temp to perm Stores Team Leader, based in Norwich. Offering a competitive hourly rate package, immediate starts available.
Responsible for leading and supporting the Stores team to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient movement, storage, and control of materials to support uninterrupted production. The role provides day-to-day guidance, direction, and operational leadership to stores operatives, acting as a first point of contact for queries, task prioritisation, and problem resolution. The position ensures inventory integrity, operational safety, and high standards of housekeeping by monitoring workload and performance against defined KPIs for picking, goods receipt, cycle counting, and system transactions. The role also plays a key part in coaching colleagues on best practice, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the effective use of automated storage systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversees and ensures compliance of the activities listed below by the stores team
* Accurately complete all activities both physically and on E1, in a timely fashion
* Ensure that all items are stored safely and without risk of damage to product or person
* Report to the Manufacturing Manager immediately, any stock quantities that are found to be in error
* Be proactive in the development of existing and new processes quality and site standards
* Provide assistance and support to other departments and personnel as required
* Liaise daily with Manufacturing Manager, discussing all relevant issues and opportunities for improvement
* Safe operation of the FLT in line with manufacturer guidelines and company rules
* Maintain good order of the company property and general housekeeping
* Complete daily, weekly, monthly safety checks as required
* To abide by all statutory requirements including those relating to COSHH and health and safety
* To adhere to and promote all current company policies and procedures in place
* Work within the department, or as part of cross functional teams to implement continuous improvement working towards World Class Manufacturing
* To undertake any other reasonable task as directed by the Management team.
* Manage time productively and Efficiently. This job role requires use of the E1 platform to perform certain processes. Therefore, the job holder must:
* Follow the agreed process within E1 and not deviate from, bypass or circumnavigate the E1 system in anyway (unless formally approved by their line manager/LG) to perform these tasks, complete all assigned E1 training modules in the Learning Management System (LMS) relating to their assigned E1 Learning Plan – Stores Coordinator be formally signed off, by their Line Manager, as competent before access to the live E1 environment is granted
